This Week’s Question:

“I have not been moving forward like I need to, which is keeping me frustrated and unfulfilled.

I know that the ideal solution is to clear my thinking and replace it with right action-oriented thinking, but have difficulty staying on course.”

This Week’s Answer:

First, thank You for your transparency in how this is showing up for you. Secondly, I can promise you are not alone.

It’s critical to understand that “difficulty staying on course,” is a function of your brain, and something called your paradigms…

They are basically a set of internal beliefs that shape your current results.

They are the governing structure that keeps your life exactly as it is.

Your paradigms can be very powerful, it’s physics. As soon as you begin to imagine a more expansive version of your current life – when you want to make changes in your life, or you have a big idea or big dream – your paradigm will immediately kick in and do its best to prevent you from taking action.

These are the three thought process you must repattern to position yourself for success.

Distraction is the voice in your head, if you listen closely, that say, “I’ll be more productive if I’m not hungry. How about lunch anyone?

Or it say’s, “I haven’t checked my phone in ten minutes.

Maybe there’s an important message I should check before

making those calls.”

Your paradigm won’t be running through the halls of your mind, yelling, “Stop taking steps toward your dream.” It does what it does best – distracts you.

If your paradigm can’t distract you, it will try and dissuade you. It’s all those voices in your head telling yourself “maybe I really don’t want to achieve this,” or “I must not be meant to do this, is shouldn’t feel so hard.”

If your paradigm can’t stop you with distraction or dissuasion, it’s going to try the last tactic. It’s going to trigger “DEFCON 1 – or your fight or flight response, which is fear.

These are the three thought process you must repattern to position yourself for success.
