This Week’s Question:

Honestly, I’m frustrated in hearing about goal setting this time of year.

Maybe I’m just cynical because I’ve missed so many of my goals in the past, or maybe I just suck at goal setting. I don’t know why I even try to set new goals for myself. Maybe I want to believe that there is some secret, that I’ll stumble on from the holy grail of change.

This Week’s Answer:

I appreciate your comment. And I hear you!

The truth is…

You already know how to change.

It’s the wall that separates you from who you want to be.

As a brain trainer, I will say with absolute certainty that…

Solely changing your behavior to change your results can be a slow and potentially painful way to reach what will be, at best temporary.

It’s why you set a goal to eat healthier and go to the gym, and three weeks later revert right back to your old behavior pattern.

Here’s the thing… To permanently change a behavior, you must go to the level where all our habits are created, the subconscious mind.

And when we learn how to work WITH our brain the way that it naturally works, achieving our goals happen faster and easier.

If you’re serious about making change, DO THIS…

Here’s the brain hack:

 When you’re serious about achieving a goal DO THESE 3 things. (I say this, and most people won’t do it).

1 . Write down WHY you must achieve your goal.

2. READ your goal every day, especially at nightwhile scrolling through it with your finger *

3. As you read your goal FEEL extremely positive emotions for achieving your goal, as if you have already achieved it.

* Scrolling with your finger slows down your conscious mind

Key: The more significance, the more emotion and attention you give to a thought, the more your subconscious mind pays attention to it and says HEY, wake up, this is important to you.

If you DO THIS every day, and especially at night, you are showing your brain how important your goal is, your brain starts to look for the things that will help achieve your goal.

It’s not that you create opportunities out of thin air…

you become more aware

and notice the opportunities, resources, and the people that will help you reach your goal. You begin to see opportunities that other people miss.

Recall what I said earlier that most people won’t focus their time and do this exercise.
